Babolat Pure Aero Review
Babolat's New Pure Aero is one of the best Babolat racquets you will ever play with. Babolat has certainly improved upon the old AeroPro Drive in almost every category.
The new racquet has a higher swing-weight allowing it to be more stable through contact, ground strokes felt crisper and you will have no issues placing volleys nice and deep. Babalot has improved the spin of the racquet as well, in this new frame the spacing in the strings are farther apart throughout the entire string-bed allowing each string to bite the ball more. The grommets have been improved and now the string sits protected throughout the whole frame.
You will gain more power, spin and control with this new pure aero compared to its predecessor. The cons are typical of any stiff frame, touch shots take a bit of time to get used to and the frame wont typically be suited for anyone with tennis elbow issues, however the higher swing-weight might help.
Babolat boasts of a two step process of improving your spin control with this racquet. 1. Increased Racquet Head Speed – the speed of the player's swing and the racquet's acceleration prior to contact with the ball are crucial. The faster the racquet, the greater the spin. 2. Longer String and Ball Interaction – the interaction between the strings and the ball is also crucial. The longer the ball is in contact with the strings, the greater the spin.
Some history of the Aeropro evolution. Launched in 2003, the Aeropro Drive quickly became the benchmark for players who wanted a racquet that offered optimum spin and power. In 2015, Babolat takes things a step further with the Pure Aero – a next-generation racquet that enables players to maximize their spin without losing any of the punch in their swing.
